My project
At the beginning of this year I wanted to study the equations that went into astrophysics which believe me I still want to do, it just seemed like an outlier which didn’t really have anything connecting to my other studies which made me doubt if I should be doing it. Alas I shall save it for another time but for now I am studying Herbalism! Don't get me wrong I really enjoy herbalism I am not just doing it to get a science credit, I want to see how these plants can heal others and myself.
What I have been spending most of my time on is the Science and Art of Herbology by Rosemary Gladstar, a internationally known herbalist and Founder of Traditional Medicine Teas©. I have been taking notes on each lesson about different herbs, preparations for different forms of medicine, Materia Medica for different plants, how to take care of different systems in the body and many other things. This is has worked very well for me in the way that I am learning how to make herbal medicine, but I still would like to learn about the science aspect of this medicine which is one of the main reasons that I started this study.
What I have started to do is learn about the basics of the systems most affected in the body by herbal medicine. Aanika has been helping me with this she suggests which system to study and I do research on it.
I am also a part of the mini herb school, we all share a mentor and work independently and collaboratively. We are also trying to make a small herb garden and I am helping decide which herbs.
